"Danny" was purchased as a weanling by his current owner, and has matured into a truly gorgeous, classy, elegant and TALL 8-year-old gelding. Sired by a son of the well-respected Paint stallion QT POCO STREKE, and out of a lovely well-bred Thoroughbred mare, Danny is a real eye-catcher with his color and stately, correct conformation. Danny has been brought along slowly in his training and ridden regularly since he was started under saddle as a long two-year-old. He is trusting, kind, affectionate and honest. He loves attention and will come running from a herd of other geldings in a field to be haltered and led off to be groomed and ridden. Danny is quiet and mannerly both on the ground and under saddle; especially when ridden in an arena. Danny is presently polishing his neck-reining for power-steering; he moves off leg well; side-passes; backs and stops beautifully; and is learning flying lead changes. On the many 100's of trail rides he has been on, he crosses water and bridges, is sure-footed in rough terrain, and gets along well with other horses on the ride and dogs under foot. Danny can get more animated and peppy on the trails, so does best with a confident, knowledgeable rider. Danny has nice gaits as well as a wonderful work ethic, so might excel as a Pony Club, show, or trail horse for a relaxed, competent rider. Beautiful Danny has always had the best of care, has no vices, is up-to-date on his shots, worming, hoof trimming, etc. and lives in the Vancouver, Washington area.
