Sabrina was started under
saddle as a young filly, but has not been ridden since. She is a lovely
mare, showing the quality of breeding from both sides of her bloodlines
- Arabians as well as outstanding Quarter Horses. Sabrina's Quarter
Horse sire, DOX NIGHT HAWK, was Oxbow Ranch bred and sired lots of great
cutting, reining, roping and good ranch horses. Her lovely Arabian dam
was a classy, elegant, good-bodied Arabian mare who was a direct
daughter of LITIGATOR and out of a granddaughter of FADJUR. Sabrina was
bred to be a beautiful athletic working ranch horse with the quality to
show. Her owners got busy doing other things and Sabrina is now an
8-year-old, so she will likely have to be re-started by a knowledgeable
horseman if someone wants her to become a riding horse. She has had good
care, eating native Oregon grasses as well as quality alfalfa hay;
running in rocky, hilly fields in the John Day Valley; plus has been
given her shots and worming to keep her healthy. Few of the horses or
quality mules on the ranch need their feet to be trimmed since they
travel up and down rocky trails every day, so their feet are like rock
and they naturally trim themselves like those of wild Mustangs.
Sabrina's little is selling ALL their nice horses,
which include some AQHA and APHA broodmares, yearlings, foals and even a
couple of quality young mules. Sabrina and the Double J Ranch
are located in the central-eastern John Day Valley area of
Oregon.
