I love this beautiful, exciting and extreme country (deserts to glaciers) of central Oregon and have thoroughly enjoyed living here for well over 25 years. In the last few years, however, my husband and I have been going down to Arizona for a while during the winter months to get away from the gorgeous but cold weather that we really USED to enjoy. While making new horse-friends in Arizona, I began helping THEM to sell THEIR horses too, so I thought it wise to expand my services through Sell-A-Horse.com.

This wonderful country around central Oregon is made for horseback riding, with millions of acres of National Forest and Bureau of Land Management lands available to explore. We can ride in the desert country out east or in the pine and fir covered mountains to our west. If it is snowing out my front door, I can load the horses in my trailer and haul for less than an hour and possibly be in sunshine. We have an old saying here, "If you don't like the weather now, just wait a 1/2 hour and it will be different." I have lived here for over 20 years and have seen it be 80 degrees one day and 27 degrees and snowing the next; or 85 during the day and 30 degrees that night. The one thing that is constant here in the high desert is that the weather is never consistent, therefore when we ride it is always wise to be prepared for all possible weather conditions.

Over the years I had a hard time selling my own good horses locally and began advertising on the Internet quite a few years ago; INTERNET MARKETING CAN REALLY WORK. Initially I sold a couple of my own horses out of the Bend area and out of State, and since beginning my business and marketing services in 1999, I have helped many hundreds of other owners sell their horses throughout the United States.

LISTING INFORMATION:  I have owned and ridden horses for over 48 years, am retired and now have the time necessary to place ads in various locations on the net and monitor all inquiries in a timely manner. In addition to putting a sale horse's photos and information on my website, I try to place advertising on several other Internet horse sale sites as well. I individually market each horse and I act as a go-between to put potential buyers in touch with horse owners/sellers who either don't have a computer or the time or skills to promote their horses on the Internet. I charge $35 to list each horse and a commission of 8.5% of the total sale amount or $100, whichever is greater, immediately following the transaction if the sale came as a result of my services. I actively market each horse online for four months and welcome new photos or any updating information on the horses. All update's during that four-month period are included in the listing fee, so are free. If the owner sells their horse through another means, they owe me no further money; I just ask that the owner let me know of the sale immediately so I can delete the horse from my site and the other sites upon which I may have placed advertising.
