"Boogie" isn't "Boogery" or anything; it was just a nickname which stuck...  Bred and raised in the steep, rugged country in the middle of Oregon, Boogie learned how to handle himself well when just a baby. He wasn't pushed in his under saddle training nor ever ridden hard nor put away wet, so is ready to start a serious life of riding/using. Boogie has excellent conformation including a long sloping shoulder with a well set-back wither, a short back, deep powerful hip, and straight well-boned legs with solid black feet. He is very athletic with the potential to do anything you wish to pursue with him. He has very solid basic training and knows how to sidepass, do forehand and haunch turns, and backs from the ground or under saddle. He knows his leads and has a good start on spins. Boogie's ground manners are excellent; he is easy to bathe, trim, shoe and loads and hauls well. He was hauled to many 4H and county shows last summer to get him accustomed to the noise, traffic and activity and stood most of the day quietly munching hay at the trailer, taking all the commotion in stride. Boogie's owner believes that with a little more work and finish in the bridle, that Boogie would do well in the show arena; so far most of his riding has been in arenas with several outside rides to gather cattle. He is only being sold because he has matured too tall for his owner. If you are looking for a beautiful, honest, good-minded horse to finish and enjoy for many years to come, you should check Boogie out. He is current on his shots and worming and lives by Spray, in central Oregon.
