"Mikey" was registered originally as a sorrel when a foal, but is turning gray. He is a handsome, athletic, straight and sound gelding who has been on the big, rugged, 'out-back' Oregon cattle ranch since he was purchased as a yearling. Mikey has been trained as an all around using/working horse on this large ranch and used to gather, sort, brand, ship and doctor cattle as well as just plain pleasure/trail riding. Mikey is tough enough to ride all day long through the rocks, creeks and canyons, yet sensitive enough to work with calves and cattle and get the job done well. He has not only been roped on outside on the range, but also in the branding pens and arena and has been 'out of the box'. Mikey has good conformation, nice bone with excellent feet and a pleasant, agreeable disposition. This is a really nice all-around gelding who can and will do whatever job you find for him, and he is handsome enough that you will be proud to be seen on him. Mikey is mannerly to handle on the ground, loads and hauls great and lives out east of Prineville in the Post/Paulina area of Central Oregon. This ranch also has several other good, young, well-started AQHA and APHA horses available so if you are searching for a horse of another color? they might have just what you want.
